My Closet is getting full

Good morning John. While you were out last week my Rock Jeans arrived. A truly great product !! As are my Back Countries, Yukon and Ex. A.P's. My closet is beginning to look like a Rail Riders warehouse. I don't know if you ever move email to your website or blogsite but if you do my comment is that your shirts, pants, fleece are all outstanding. I admire your "no compromise" approach to design and manufacture. The best clothes I have ever owned ! REALLY!!!

Moving Pants

I just wanted to share a testimonial from a first time customer of railriders products. After seeing the railriders catalog several times in my mail, I decided to purchase a pair of rock jeans. I am an avid outdoor person; hiking, backpacking, canoeing and I am always looking for the perfect pair of pants which are comfortable but can withstand the rigors of my journeys. I recently moved to a new house and was deciding on what to wear during moving day. I knew that I would be doing a lot of manual labor and decided what better way to break in and test my new pair of railriders rock jeans. After 8 hours of getting in an out of a moving truck, hauling boxes and furniture, (banging my legs frequently while trying to maneuver over and around obstacles) I found that the pants had surprising range of motion, never binding or restricting my movements. They were tough as nails and did not show any sign of wear during the day. At the end of the day I had to do some tile work and was down on my hands and knees for the last several hours and the pants took it all in stride. Throughout the day I had to make visits to restaurants for lunch, hardware stores for parts and the truck rental office. My rock jeans did double duty as work pants but were stylish enough to pass for casual attire in these establishments. Thanks for a great product, especially being my first purchase from railriders. |

Why we created the Rock Jean

Before I started RailRiders, I used to own a pair of heavy-duty Carhartts for work around the house and in the backyard. I liked their ruggedness and outstanding durability. Their only limitations was their weight and when they got wet. This could be a problem for those who spend a lot of time in the backcountry–hunting, fishing, birdwatching, or hiking. So when I created the Rock Jeans, I decided to give them a Carhatt look and appeal but with standard RailRiders features that starts with the selection of fabric. In this case, it’s Yukon Canvas synthetic fabric which is known for its lightweight, quickdrying, and indestructible properties. And just like your favorite pair of broken-in jeans, the fabric is comfortable and won’t chafe against the skin.
