In 2013, Jamie Bunchuk and Matthew Travers headed out on a multi-phase expedition in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, and Uzbekistan. The culmination of the trip was a 63 day, 1100 kilometer crossing of Eastern Kazakhstan’s One Steppe Desert. The pair used horses to carry much of their gear but the crossing was self-supported, and the two were thrust into extreme desert conditions, including 40 degree Celsius heat, and possibly days without coming across water sources. Armed with cameras, barely enough food, and a hardy set of RailRiders Clothing, the two intrepid adventurers tackled the adventure of a lifetime. You can see their review of our clothing here. This photo gallery brings their adventure to life with both landscapes and portraits.
