On August 5th, 2012, Cody Marsh, of Shepherdstown, West Virginia, set out to hike the 211 mile John Muir Trail that runs throughout the Sierra Nevada Range from Yosemite National Park to Mt. Whitney, the tallest mountain in the continental United States (14,505 feet). He finished 14 days later, and obviously in high spirits. The goal of his solo, self-supported, three-week trek was to raise awareness and funds for a Central African Cause: the Invisible Children Foundation.
