The Faroe Islands, located half-way between Iceland and Norway, is a land where time stands still. Majestic mountains, lakes of deep blue azure water and homes with thick grass roofs for insulation. Google it; a real fantasy. It was the vision for the birth of this field shirt. So elegant, yet so simple to ward off the chill of a cold winters morn. Made with a husky, yet soft, nylon/polyester shell fabric and lined with a warm quilted taffeta interior to keep your innards happy. Two buttoned front chest pockets, vertical zippered pocket on left side and a handy slot for your reading glasses, yup we need them too! Two well placed internal pockets for all your special stuff. Made to be worn in or out, this shirt will become your best friend who doesn’t talk back.
I was in SW Florida jungle hiking and birding last month in 82-degree heat. . shorts and t-shirt for 5 days. The next morning it dropped to 41 degrees. You saw the news reports about iguanas dropping from the palms. I remembered thowing my new Faroe Island shirt-jac in the back seat when I left home. I tossed it on and resumed birding comfortably for two days with 52-degree highs dark skies and 20 plus mph winds. I never dreamed Faroe Island would meet Sanibel Island Maybe you should make the shirt-jac in iguana sizes.

Great shirt good fit fabric soft but tough. Only disappointment is sleeves are not insulated. Arms get cold without other layer on top.

This is a great shirt jacket. The outer material feels quite soft but has proved durable thus far. It is reasonably warm and perfect for fall especially layered over the Halifax Henley.
