Out in the canyons, conditions change quickly. Whether you’re in the heat of exposed sandstone or surrounded by the cooling walls of a slot canyon, you need clothing that adjusts on the fly. Enter the Zion Zip-Offs, our convertible pant made from 3-oz ripstop nylon. Color-coded zippers hark back to our nautical past and ensure you put the right pant leg on. Conquer the changing temperature; have a better adventure.
Reason For Being: A lightweight convertible that goes from short to pant to short again faster than any convertible you’ve worn.
Fabric: Ripstop nylon is tough, lightweight, and breathable to conquer a variety of climates.
Ideal Fit: Our conical waistband naturally hugs the hips, while articulated knees mean the pant is built to move.
Easy On and Off: Red/green port/starboard color coded zippers mean you’ll never confuse pant legs and are an homage back to our origins on the sea. 9-inch zippers at the cuff mean you can easily switch modes without taking off your shoes.
Zippered Pockets: Side welted pockets add cargo storage, while back pockets and hidden security pocket have zippers to ensure your valuables are safe.
Perfect backpacking pants. Solid construction sizing and fit. Nearly waterproof DWR finish. Practically wind proof. Dry in minutes. Material is surprisingly quiet for 100 nylon. These pants can help with lightening your load by eliminating redundant clothing items from your pile (i.e. Rain/wind pants). Totally function over fashion while still looking pretty good. Exactly what I've been looking for in multi-use outdoor pants.

I needed a pair of zip-off pants and found these online. More expensive than some but the fit was perfect without alteration quality of material and stitching etc. is good and the 'port' 'starboard' color coding of the zips is very handy. Cool and comfortable with plenty of pockets. Definitely recommended.

Good looking pants with more of a trim fit than my 220 lb frame is used to but they worked fine. Comfortable and very lightweight. The color is more of a green than a root brown.
