Backcountry Shorts

Cadillac Mountain is located within Acadia National Park, near Bar Harbor, Maine, and is famous as the highest point on the North Atlantic seaboard. You are a motorcycle mechanic in Seal Cove which is outside of Bar Harbor, and you’re a backpacking and hiking fanatic. You live alone with your Bernese Mtn Dog, Shotgun, and specialize in Harleys and Indian bike repair, custom and rebuild.  On the weekends one of your favorite hikes is the Beehive Loop on Cadillac Mountain, one of Acadia's famous rung and ladder trails. When choosing this hike, expect steep granite staircases, iron rungs, and exposed cliff faces.
