Derek Hutton is a Head Guide for WorldCast Anglers, the world’s largest driftboat outfitter, and the Manager of the Ski and Snowboard School at Grand Targhee Resort in Alta, WY. As one of WorldCast’s best guides, Derek has led trips to Mongolia and South America and has more planned this year. His goal is to catch the world’s most ancient fish, such as the Taimen in Mongolia and the Golden Dorado in Bolivia.
He spends his free time fishing the Teton and Snake Rivers, hiking, skiing the country’s best powder, and watching Tennessee & Alabama football. An avid conservationist, Derek also serves as President of the Board of Friends of the Teton River, a nonprofit aimed at preserving the delicate Teton watershed. Derek lives in Victor, Idaho, with his wife and two sons.
Derek is finishing up another spectacular and successful season as the manager at Grand Targhee Ski & Snowboard School. He just returned from a trip to Patagonia and is excited for the start of another season guideing for WorldCast, where he will hopefully travel to Bolivia in search of the Golden Dorado.
