The place: Lukla, Nepal. The region: the Himalayas. Your adventure: a 12-day 80.7 mile trek to Everest base camp with elevation gain of over 8,000 feet. A lifelong bucket list has finally arrived. It’s a chilly day upon landing on the most dangerous airstrip in the world. Once clear of customs and various yaks and Sherpas, you retrieve your pack and reach for your new High Altitude Hoody, a divinely soft pullover that feels like cashmere yet is synthetic, quick dry and oh so warm. We call this fabric Tech-Schmere, also used on our Halifax Henley and Mad River Mock Tee. It boasts twin zippers protecting a soft warm kangaroo pouch pocket, and a big lined hood that can accommodate a ball cap or skullcap. You hoist your 60 lb. pack onto your shoulders and head out in search of your new mates whom you will intimately spend the next 12 days living the dream. Your life is good, your dream alive, breath easy and stay hydrated.
I like these so much I bought two Great weight and feel. It's exactly what I wanted as a warm shirt that doesn't feel like a bulky sweatshirt or sweater. I dig it.

material is super soft. I ordered a large and sent it back for an xl. Its not like a cotton sweatshirt. Zippered pouch is nice but drawstrings on the hood would be a plus especially for $100.

A perfect hoody fabric is very comfortable and warm. The zippered kangaroo pockets are a perfect place to stash items without worrying about the items falling out. Hood fits well but would benefit if there were drawstrings to tighten the hood down a bit.
