The durable, buttery-soft fabric is made with featherweight 1.5-oz Duralite nylon and polyester material. With 27-inch, breathable mesh panels running down the length of the inseams and outseams, you have the perfect air-flow solution to heat buildup that can make the most patient fisherman or thru-hiker want to call it a day. Additional features include: elastic at sides of waist for easy fit; articulated knees for comfort and mobility; and reinforced pocket opening and a zippered back pocket.
Reason for Being: Originally designed to be worn fishing the flats in warm waters, the idea behind this pant is to be as lightweight and breathable as a pair of shorts while providing much needed sun protection. These have since been picked up as a go-to piece for long trail hikers because of their durability and breathability.
Fabric: 1.5 ounce Duralite nylon is lighter than most of our pants. These are designed to feel like feathers and breath like you’re not wearing them.
UV Protection: Carries a sun protection rating of UPF 30+.
Side Vents: 27” of mesh ventilation runs from outer thigh to calf and another strip runs down the inner thigh, making sure that you feel every breeze on a hot day.

Railriders clothing is absolutely fantastic. I already have really nice clothes for hiking but I'm replacing the current gear for a full Railriders lineup.

These are the best pants. I am a saltwater fishing guide in Florida and have been wearing these pants for about 7 years. I have around 30 pairs. The first few years they would get large holes in the front pocket area after about a year of use( which was around 30-50 uses) They were still worth every penny even then. The last few years I have not put any holes in them. I wear them 5 days a week on the boat and a clean pair for the afternoon when I get off the boat. Most comfortable pant I have ever wore in our lovely Florida heat. Tons of my clients have bought them over the years and they all say the same thing. I try to add five pairs a year whenever they are in stock. So comfortable.
