Before taking that first step, your journey often begins with choosing the right kind of shirt. Our new Journeyman Shirt is specifically designed for travel, especially in hot, humid conditions. You can beat the heat because it's made with featherweight nylon fabric that has built-in UPF 30+ sun-blocking protection. The shirt has been treated with Insect Shield® technology, so bugs are kept at bay. For air-cooling relief, we've added soft nylon mesh along both inner arms and torso, as well as a back yoke, also with mesh. Deep roomy pockets offer plenty of cargo space. Ideal for the rough road ahead or relaxing in town afterwards, the quick-drying and low-maintenance Journeyman shirt has a seven-button front, fold-up collar, and pleated sleeves with roll-up tabs.
Ive used RR shirts and pants with insect shield training and hunt tests and field trial competitions with my golden retrievers for 10 years in the Carolinas and Rocky Mountains. They do a good job and Im taking them to Alaska this summer where I expect the same solid performance.
I've yet to wear this shirt but I'm 100 certain this shirt will wonderful for wet hiking seasons. All RailRders gear is wonderful
Fantastic shirt. When I lived in the tropics I needed this shirt to combat the bugs and the heat. The shirt uses unique fabric to vent the heat. The bugs just ignore me. And it looks great
Very nice generally -- its a bit different than my other "technical-style" hiking shirts specifically in the back panel it has a different feel to it. However it fulfils the essential task -- being usable in cool and warmer weather sun protection and yet breathable. The breast zipped pockets are unique and surprisingly quite-useful. I like it.
My son loves your products I ordered these as Christmas gifts. Now my husband has jumped on the Railriders bandwagon
Fits great very high quality. Love that it has insect repellant permethrin.
My husband loved this shirt so much we ordered 3 more. The feel is "wonderful"-great shirt for "our summer travels"
I have only worn it around the house so far so durability and hot weather comfort will have to wait a bit.I am 6'3" with a 42 chest and a 39" measured waist.I usually wear a large tall.I originally bought a large both in this and in another shirt. They were both extremely tight across my back so I sent them back.A year or so has passed and I am looking at spending time where bugs are likely to bug me so ... I bought an extra large.I am not one to wear highly tailored clothing and this fits the bill it does not appear overly baggy despite being an extra large. The pockets are nice they extend an inch or so below the bottom of the zippers and across to the side seam. They are made of mesh so I don't foresee them making the shirt appreciably less comfortable in the warm weather. OTOH they are made of mesh so putting anything poking in there is a bit iffy. When I reach all the way forward with one arm I can just feel the bottom of the cape pull against my back and it is obvious though only slightly binding when I reach forward with both. The sleeve length is okay but when reaching forward the fact that cape binds a bit pulls the sleeve back.If they would add another two inches of material to the cape the binding would go away entirely and the sleeve length would be perfect.
My new favorite shirt equally good for chilly weather as well as for warmer weather.
Extreme quality product very light.Large size fits me very well.
