Coming on the heels of the success of our Versatac Light and Mid Pants, we created the Versatac Ultra-lIght Pants. Made with all the same great features as the Light and Mid. The Ultra-Lights are constructed with 2ply 3oz Rip-Stop Nylon (the same fabric we use in our Rampage Shorts). The entire pant weighs in at 14 ounces, but don't let that fool you into thinking they are not tough. Ideal for hot weather wear, UPF 30+ sun protection and all the features you have come to love in the Versatac family.
Reason for Being: The lightest pant in our VersaTac line up, designed to give you all the features of the VersaTac pant with only 14 ounces of weight. Wearable in extreme heat, dry extremely fast.
Fabric: Ultra lightweight “Rip-Stop” nylon. Light and breathable but with a rip-stop pattern to prevent tearing with heavy use. Reinforced with an extra layer on the knees, seat, and ankle for extra durability.
The best pockets around: Huge cargo pockets allow limitless storage while also including smaller pockets for sorting what you carry. A cell phone pocket allows for easy access and storage of mobile devices, and the side cargo pockets have additional zipper access for ease when seated.
The three pairs of these pants that I ordered at different times arrived promptly each time - the initial first pair then two more shortly afterwards based on performance I have worn these pants for a several weeks now in extremely hot and humid conditions - 120F / 100 humidity (plus a Tyvek suit in this extremely hot environment) - EXTREME conditions. The pants are exceptionally impressive not only in material quality but also in extreme comfort and cooling (and I mean Extremely comfortable)Im 53 years old and have spent most of my life outdoors here in extremely hot and humid central Florida and these VersaTac Ultra-Light pants are unquestionably the best hot weather pants Ive ever worn these pants are deserving a league of its own in clothing comfort for extremely hot and humid climates. In comparison on the same day that I initially ordered the first pair of these pants I also ordered a pair of Duluth Trading Co. Mens Dry on the Fly cargo pants. The Duluth Trading Co. Mens Dry on the Fly cargo pants are very nice pants and kept me fairly cool for my extreme working conditions however compared to your VersaTac Ultra-Light the RailRiders pants are in another dimension of unparalleled comfort - impressive. Im extremely happy with the pants and would highly recommend them. Please note These pants are addictive - once you wear these pants no other brand of pants seems to feel right - all you wish for when not wearing these pants is that you wish you had VersaTac Ultra-Light Pants on your body. I will definitely be ordering more of these pants in the near future.

I live in these 300 days a year. People might think I never change pants because I have several pairs in the same color (total of 7 pants - always take 3 when traveling). Extremely practical VERY light weight. In hot/warm weather cool. Even in cool weather given they are very effective at blocking the wind they are warmer than expected. They dry FAST whether from sweat rain or a nightly wash (simply wash in sink hang up to dry and in the morning they are good to go no need to iron). Spills easily removed with a damp rag. Really like the cargo pockets with side zippers. So easy to access contents while sitting (car train plane or just sitting on a rock resting). They are rugged - my first pair were bought 3.5 years ago and still going strong (slight pilling but these are not prone to snags and the older ones have a SMALL gap at the base of the cargo pocket's zipper but only the smallest item would ever fall out even with vigorous shaking so not a problem). These really are the most comfortable pants I own HIGHLY recommended.

I purchased the ultra light versatac pants for a trip out west. I wore them everyday on the trip and loved them I appreciate pockets and loved the placement and size of these. The material is so lightweight that you cannot tell you are wearing pants. I like the elastic waist as well. I think the pockets on the legs could be moved up a little to be more like the shorts so the pockets swing less when stuff is in them. I would also love to see railriders put a little stretch in there pants. Overall good quality comfortable product.
