We know that you are the type that does not run with the pack, a rebel, think James Dean, Geronimo, or perhaps Thelma and Louise, you know, folks who went it alone. Now add rain, wind, snow, or whatever the weather can throw at you and reach for our solution; our new Squall Shell. A featherweight (9 ounces, no lie) waterproof breathable, seam sealed Anorak in a class and rank of its own. Made with super lightweight mini-ripstop nylon, it boasts 8000 mm going in and going out. An articulated hood gives you a clear view of your future. This is your new companion, it lives with you at all times. In your pack, glove box, sailboat, travel luggage. As your companion, it will not disappoint and will improve your life, seriously.
Lightweight good fit terrific for rainy weather. Love it.

This is far nicer than I thought it would be. It is extremely light weight and looks like it will work well. Would be good for backpackers.

Firstly the squall shell has performed rather well so far in moderate rain with heavy gusts. I presently rated it at four stars until further elemental encounters of the worst kind and then make a decision pro or con. I also would like to see a zippered stow away on the collar for greater option.A must change for the intro to the shell other than James Dean Geronimo or Thelma Louise who died a tragic death but people like Sir Ernest Shackleton or Sir Edmund Hillary. They broke the mold. Great role models and against all odds.
