Reason For Being: The women’s version of our popular pants. Ultra-lightweight, ultra-packable, ultra-comfortable, and ultra-stylish. This is our simplest pant designed for the outdoors, travel, or the office. Women’s fit with a high rise.
Fabric: 2 ply, 3 ounce nylon makes these featherweight and breathable.
Simplicity: Without any of the normal bells and whistles, these pants are stylish but also tough enough to be called RailRiders. Perfect for any outdoor activity or as just a nice pair of pants.

Having traveled worked and lived in these pants for most of the past 15 years I was delighted to find them on sale. The quality appears to have been maintained with addition of a few more useful features (elastic in waistband and extra zipped pockets). Online ordering was straight-forward and simple and delivery much faster than virtually any company with whom I have shopped. My only concern is that RailRiders is doing such a good job (of making clothes which last) that they will put themselves out of business. So I bought two pairs. Additional offerings for ladies would of course always be welcome.

The elastic waist roomy fit above the knees and self-belt makes the Adventure Pants a winner. Their style in the black looks very dressy and evokes compliments My only issue is the size XS is too tight in the calves and short in length so will exchange and try size S while hoping I don't lose the top advantages described above. Probably wouldn't need a size change if the 100 nylon fabric had any stretch content.

These passed the travel test with flying colors in the jungles of Costa Rica and the streets of Panama City. I felt very secure with the two zip pockets and the other pockets deep enough not to worry about things falling out. They are lightweight and don't take up much room in the suitcase and don't show wrinkles. The belt served double duty with other pants. My only two complaints offset each other 1) the buttonhole is so tight even after trying to enlarge it with cuticle scissors that I gave up on trying to unbutton the waist but 2) the Large size has such a generous waist (and baggy fit) and so much elastic that I can easily get them on and off without unbuttoning -- relying on the belt to keep them up. For my 31" waist I would order a Medium next time and hope that the button hole was large enough to unbutton. In fact if the Black was available in Medium I would order it right now but it has been "unavailable" for over a month. Hope it comes back
