The Blue Ridge Mountains are a physiographic province of the larger Appalachian Mountains range. The Blue Ridge Mountains are noted for having a bluish color when seen from a distance. Trees put the "blue" in Blue Ridge, from the isoprene released into the atmosphere. The Blue Ridge Mountain Pants joins our Stretch Collection of pants. Some might call it a Technical Jean, but it is so much more and fits like a gem. This pant has a slightly slimmer fit, but with the enzyme washed cotton/spandex fabric, you can move like Baryshnikov in Swan Lake. Deep front pockets with leather trimmed change pocket on the right side, and a side security pocket for your smart phone. Fixed waistband with 2 zippered back pockets and extra fabric on the backside of the cuff for increased durability. Great pant, it belongs on you.Jump to Product Reviews

The first time wearing these pants my husband said "We need to buy another pair. They are SO comfortable"

Excellent hiking pants run a bit large. This is the second pair I purchased primarily for use while hiking. The first pair I ordered with a smaller inseam size (30) because my regular size was sold out. Those fit oddly on me (binding on my lower calf and reaching only to my upper ankle) so I gave them to my daughter who found them perfect for her size. The second pair I ordered my regular inseam size (32) as it was back in stock but when they arrived they were much longer than 32 (more like 34) otherwise fitting well so I just hemmed them to length. Really I am normally a 30" waist with an athletic build and I mostly wear pants in size 30"(waist)x31"(inseam) but since these only come in even sizes of 32"waist or larger I ordered the 32x32 which are quite loose on me. Still they are good for hiking with excellent range of movement with well-designed and secure pockets--especially the side pocket on the lower right thigh the leather-trimmed watch/compass pocket on the right hip and the zipper-secured rear pockets that are large enough for a passport wallet--and the fabric is comfortable in both wet windy weather and in hot dusty conditions and they look good enough for casual work wear or a night at the pub after trekking all day. The fabric and construction of these pants is premium quality--they just feel and look really good. So for the purpose I intended these work well although they did require me to make some adjustments to their length. They do seem to be designed for people who are at least a size larger than the size marked on the pants (32x32 in this case).
