Before taking that first step, your journey often begins with choosing the right kind of shirt. Our new Journeyman Shirt is specifically designed for travel, especially in hot, humid conditions. You can beat the heat because it's made with featherweight nylon fabric that has built-in UPF 30+ sun-blocking protection. The shirt has been treated with Insect Shield® technology, so bugs are kept at bay. For air-cooling relief, we've added soft nylon mesh along both inner arms and torso, as well as a back yoke, also with mesh. Deep roomy pockets offer plenty of cargo space. Ideal for the rough road ahead or relaxing in town afterwards, the quick-drying and low-maintenance Journeyman shirt has a seven-button front, fold-up collar, and pleated sleeves with roll-up tabs.

Extreme quality product very light.Large size fits me very well.
For backpacking I love this shirt. I've done about 400 miles this year wearing this shirt and the ecomesh pants. The zippered pockets with the zippers near the centerline are perfect for accessing while wearing a pack and useful to store bottle caps lighter and other things around camp. The fabric dries so quick and I never got any bug bites even on my shoulders where the fabric is tightly pressed against my body. Above 90 degrees the shirt is a little warm. The loose fit and loose cuffs help as does the mesh but 90 is just hot. For normal backpacking from 40-90 degrees I love this shirt. I bought a second one to have a backup just in case they discontinue it (please don't)
