Before taking that first step, your journey often begins with choosing the right kind of shirt. Our new Journeyman Shirt is specifically designed for travel, especially in hot, humid conditions. You can beat the heat because it's made with featherweight nylon fabric that has built-in UPF 30+ sun-blocking protection. The shirt has been treated with Insect Shield® technology, so bugs are kept at bay. For air-cooling relief, we've added soft nylon mesh along both inner arms and torso, as well as a back yoke, also with mesh. Deep roomy pockets offer plenty of cargo space. Ideal for the rough road ahead or relaxing in town afterwards, the quick-drying and low-maintenance Journeyman shirt has a seven-button front, fold-up collar, and pleated sleeves with roll-up tabs.

I purchased a number of items including the Journeyman shirt for a trip to the Upper Amazon. The quality of look of the shirts were outstanding. It is the PERFECT shirt for trips such as this. There were 26 guests on the expedition and at least 5 of them asked for information on where they could purchase them. Compared with the "other" brand these shirts win hands down relative to styling function and over all fit. The insect protection worked great. Others in our party had bites all over them. I did not get a single bite and somedays used no extra repellant. VERY satisfied and will be using these shirts a lot going forward.

QUICK TIPI'm 5'10" with a smallish frame and athletic build and the small fits me well for length but is much too large in width. A slim fit would be a great option. The GOODSpent my first weekend with the shirt out hiking deep in the BC bush and while my companions spent the entire time swatting at mosquitos and scratching their arms I was mosquito free and very comfortable. As a bonus the ventilation was so good on the shirt I could leave the sleeves down even as temperatures rose beyond 30C. The BADCanadian Border Services charged me a small fortune (nearly as much as the cost of my order) to import the items. If you live in Canada and have the option order to a US address and go pick it up.

I have worn this shirt for the last 3 weekends for my hiking and orienteering trips. It's held up through dense undergrowth while orienteering and been plenty cool in the hot/humid Va weather. I am positive that while bumbling through some of the more dense/nasty undergrowth/overhang while orienteering I passed through tick/etc territory and not a one made it's way to me. With the nice air flow through and tough but super light construction this shirt absolutely beats lathering up in bug spray/lotion and using anything else. Along with the eco-mesh pant this is now my standard hiking/orienteering outfit.
