“Come Sail Away With Me” on the Streets of San Francisco

Never have the streets of San Francisco been filmed like this before. Obviously an homage to “Bullitt”, the fast-paced video features X Games Rally Cross silver medalist Ken Block in his custom, 650-horsepower Ford Fiesta screaming across the deserted top deck of the Bay Bridge, barreling through downtown, doing donuts around Cable Car buses and traffic barriers, flying up and over the crest of Taylor Street (car gets really great air!), skidding down winding streets, and ending with an asphalt-smokin’ finish high atop Twin Peaks. Most amazingly, Block and his Gymkhana production film crew were somehow able to obtain permits from red-tape-minded city officials for the four-day shoot. Streets were closed to traffic and pedestrians. Just in its first day on You Tube, 6,000,000 watched the talented pedal-to-the-metal Block demo how to really drive in a city like SF. The video was sponsored by DC Shoes.
